Grant Awards Event - March 23, 2005

At an event held on March 23, 2005, the LGCA announced 32 grants totaling $51,500, a 25% increase over the prior year. Most of the recipients were in attendance to receive their grants, as well as LGCA Board members, volunteers and supporters.

Members of Gays and Lesbians of African Descent celebrating their first LGCA grant to assist with community visibilty, especially during Pride Week.

Shoshana Erlich and Amanda Gregory from Thorhnhill Secondary School Gay Straight Alliance, and their teacher advisor, Ingrid Achong. The grant is for an event during pride week.

Councillor Kyle Rae presents a grant cheque to Claire Nobbs from Supporting Our Youth to help with volunteer training and development.
