2011 Rainbow Grants Reception
On May 12th, 2011, located in the heart of the village, the Community One Foundation celebrated the recipients of the 2011 Rainbow Grants. Graciously hosted by George's Play and sponsored by Legacy Private Trust & TELUS, the Community One Foundation awarded grants to 23 deserving LGBTTIQQ2S organizations. Our M.C. for the evening was Heather Babrick with entertainment by Miss Play, Jade Elecktra and Heather herself.The event was attended by over 100 local community members and a number of donors of the Community One Foundation. We thank our special guest, Councilor Kristyn Wong-Tam for her call to action in support of the LGBTTIQQ2S community and support her request for our community to stand behind one another in support of funding for our community.
